Generally speaking a virus is just designed to cause havoc on your system, whereas spyware is designed to hide in your system and spy on you (thus the name). It looks out for bank details, passwords, credit card numbers etc then it will send all your details back to the person who made the spyware for him to cause havoc with your bank account.

Remove it by using an Anti-Virus computer program. Spyware can get in a computer as a software virus or as the result of installing a new program.
