What is the difference between a lab and a golden retriever?

Golden retrivers and yellow labs are diffrent breeds of dog. They are both retrivers which means they were bred and raised to go get a hunters kill and bring it back that is whay they have so many similar attributes such as size, apperance, and personality, they are like cousins. One of the main differences between the two is that labradors are water dogs, bred to retrieve ducks, as a result they have short insulated coats, and webbed toes, golden retrievers have long silky coats and lean agile legs. Golden retrievers are good hunting dogs and because they are also cousins to sheep dogs they are very intellegent, they have become better known for their role as family dog though, Labradors are pure bred hunting water dogs, their brain is set to go get bring back and lack a little of the versitility of the golden, but tend to surmont it in athleticism, but these are small variables and general anything a lab can do a golden can and vise versa. Both dogs share a general dispostion of friendly, loyaly, athletic, playful, and loving.
