A neuron (or neurone) is an individual cell of the nervous system. Neurons communicate with one another and other tissues through long processes that extend from their cell bodies. There are different names for these processes; some are called dendrites, others are called axons. Often it is fine to be vague and just call them fibers.
Fibers of multiple neurons serving a similar function can come together and be wrapped up in a piece of connective tissue. These fibers and their surrounding connective tissue are called a nerve.
A nerve is composed of one or more long nerve fibers called axons, that connect nerve cells to other parts of the body which may be as much as several feet distant from the nerve cells. With something like, for example, the optic nerve, you have a bundle of axons, each from a different cell, which connect the retina of the eye to the visual cortex of the brain. A single nerve can carry a lot of nerve impulses on its bundled axons, much as a phone cable can carry many phone messages on the individual wires inside the cable.
A nerve cell is part of a cell and a nerve is something completely different.A nerve is a sensor that detects anything from heat to touch to electricity. When you "feel" something, you are using your nerves. A neuron is a nerve-like strand in your brain, and thousands and thousands of them make up virtually all of your brain.
Hope this helps
I'm almost positive that a nerve is a group of neurons bunched together.
i am almost positive that a nerve is a bundle of axons and a neuron is a type of cell that include a cell body, a dendrite, and and Axon.
A neuron is a single nerve cell and a nerve is a bundle of nerve cells.
They do not differ; they are synonymous terms.
Neurons are clusters of nerves.
Nerves are bundles of long neurons.
Neurons do not have a cell body.
no, they aren't. the axons of several neurons form a nerve (the axon is just a part of a neuron).
The neurons are the nerve cells that are found in the nervous tissue, the main component of nervous system. While a nerve fibre is a strand of cytoplasm extending from the cell body.
nerves are also called neurons and they transport impulses(messages)
They are called neurons all nerves are called neurons :) :D ;)
Cranial nerves
A bundle of neurons that are parallel are called nerves
It is a bundle of neurons, all flowing from the same general source (the eye) to the optic chiasm.
nerves are clusters of NEURONS.
Nerves
They are nerves. These nerves tell us exactly what we feel, and then send that information to the brain.
nerves in brain are called neurons
Bundles of nerves are composed of neurons
A nerve is a bundle of individual neurons. There are approximately 100 billion neurons in the human body (about the same number of stars in our Milky Way galaxy), but there are only 214 nerves in the human body.
Neurons
nerves do that
nerves are also called neurons and they transport impulses(messages)
You can get on somebody's nerves, but not on their neurons. Neurons are within the brain. Nerves are the messaging paths from the brain to the body.
Both sensory and motor neurons......
They are called neurons all nerves are called neurons :) :D ;)
