If you are studying for an MS cert exam, it is important to keep this straight.

A "Print Device" is the Physical hardware that puts the ink (toner, etc.) onto the paper (envelope, transparency, etc.). It is what most people refer to as a printer.

A "Printer" is the Software that takes what you are wanting to print from your computer and makes any changes needed to the format/code so that the "Print Device" is able to take it and produce the end product.
