Dieting is a controlled intake of food to attain a reduction in body fat, or carbs, the goal is to reduce over all weight to avoid serious medical issues or concerns, usually and best if supervised by a physician.
Anorexia is a disorder where mental issues are effecting the physical body, usually kept under wraps, due to peer pressure, family issues or other outside influences. Treatment involves counseling as well as medical assistance and supervision and a change in the persons overall environment, in concert with a good support system.
