My knowing is that a trade union is a group of employee comming together to voice their concers about their right as an employee.

An associations are industry representative that voice the concern of industries to the government?

A union is a type of association, though with one major difference: members of a union have the legal right to engage in collective bargaining with an employer, and the employer is legally obligated to bargain with the union
