Aircooler cools the air by adding water to the air in the form of tiny droplets with the help of air passing through the water filled filters. On the other hand AC increases or dicreases the temperature of the air with the help of compressor as per the requirement. Although answer 1 is not incorrect, it is somewhat incomplete. The "aircooler" [when I was a child it was refered to as a "swamp cooler"], uses a fan to draw warm outside air through a water wetted filter medium, where the heat of the incoming air enhances evaporation of SOME of the water. The evaporated water is blown into the house, raising the humidity [not good]. The evaporation of the water absorbs some of the heat from the air, reducing its temperature. the efficiency of swamp coolers depend on the incoming air being relatively dry, or preferably having a very low relative humidity. The higher the ambient air relative humidity, the less efficiently the swamp cooler works. On the other hand, a mechanical air conditioning system utilizes a REFRIGERANT, in a closed system which REMOVES heat from the interior air [circulated through the EVAPORATOR COIL by a fan], which carries the heat to the outside CONDENSOR COIL which transfers the heat to the outside air being circulated through that coil with another fan. Since mechanical air conditioning does not rely on the cooling effect of evaporating water, its efficiency is not as dependent on the relative humidity. In the process of removing heat from [cooling] the interior air, it also condenses much of the moisture out of the interior air, thus reducing the indoor humidity, and allowing a person to feel cooler at a higher thermostat setting.j3h.

Which type of ac motors are used in air cooler?

generally induction motor of single phase is used in air cooler.

If it's cooler outside can you open windows while air conditioning is on?

but what if the ac gets frozenSure ... once the thermostat senses the cooler air, it will shut down the AC unit anyway.

Why AC disinfect the air we breathe ?

An AC can disinfect the air we breathe but not the fan or cooler. Air conditioners can increase comfort levels and give better sleep. We can operate an AC from any of the corners of the room. But this type of feature we can’t find in any cooler or fan. O General AC Customer Care Pune.

There is no difference between AC AND DC chockes

What is the difference between MAX AC and regular AC?

A/C uses outside air, while max A/C recirculates the inside air and runs at a higher fan speed

Is having both an evap cooler and air conditioning bad?

The evap puts moist air in and th AC take moisture out. So you are making the AC work harder

What is the use of water discharged from AC?

The water from an air conditioner you are referring to is known as condensation. This occurs when there is a difference in temperature between an object and the temperature of the air.

Do you turn AC up or down for cooler air?

you would turn the temperature down for cooler air temperatures in a car, in a house the air temperature coming out the vents does not change based on the thermostats set point

How cold should the air be at the opening of an ac vent in your home?

15-20 degrees cooler than the air returning from the home to the air handler.
