Bulimia is characterized by bingeing (excessive eating in a short span of time) and then purging (forcefully throwing up, laxative abuse, ect.) to rid the body fo the food shortly after. Anorexia is characterized by a sharp decrease and restriction of calories and food, along with excessive exercise. Both are activities done in order to drastically and dangerously lose weight.
