Asymptomatic means without symptoms. Some people have an STD without having symptoms, and so they don't know to get treatment. Symptomatic means with symptoms. Someone with symptoms of STDs is more uncomfortable than someone who's asymptomatic, but they have a clue that there's something wrong.
