Budeprion (bupropion XL) is a NDRI (noradrenaline/dopamine/norepinephrine re uptake inhibitor) used to treat major depressive disorder (MDD), and occasionally used to treat anxiety or ADD/ADHD. Adderall (amphetamine salts), is used to treat ADD/ADHD. the difference between these two drugs is the method of action. budeprion stops the chemical re uptake of dopamine (only slightly), noradrenaline and norepinephrine (neurotransmitters in the brain) solely, and has no effect on the immediate release of them. it also takes quite a while to start having a real effect (3-6 weeks), whereas adderall starts working 30 minutes or so after it is taken. adderall (amphetamine) not only prevents the re uptake of dopamine and norepinephrine (like budeprion), it largely stimulates the immediate release of these neurotransmitters into the synapse(s). therefore, adderall is a much more stimulating chemical used almost exclusively to treat ADD/ADHD, whereas budeprion XL is used largely to treat depression. basically, budeprion is an antidepressant, adderall is a stimulant.

What are the difference between Concerta and adderall xr?

Most simply, they are two different drugs. Concerta is a sustained-release formulation of methylphenidate, and Adderall XR is an extended-release formulation of a mixture of amphetamine salts. It's like the difference between Ritalin and Adderall, which are the immediate-release forms. Both drugs are stimulants, usually prescribed for ADD/ADHD. Methylphenidate is said to not be as strong a stimulant as amphetamine, but is still controlled as tightly.

Hat is the difference between Adderall and generic Adderall?

There are only 2 possible difference, being price and inactive ingredients. The tablets will still contain the 1/4 dextroamphetamine saccharate, 1/4 dextroamphetamine sulfate, and 1/2 racemic mixture of two amphetamine salts (aspartate and sulfate, I believe) at concentrations identical to that of brand name Adderall as regulated by the FDA. I've taken both the brand name and generic Adderall before and did not experience any difference in quality.

Answer: Concerta and Adderall aren't very much different at all, except Adderall is more effective and Concerta has less side effects. They both are dopamine reuptake inhibitors. Adderal just seems to be more potent. Concerta is less addictive as well. hope this helps, Megan.******

What is the difference between methylphenidate and Adderall?

Methylphenidate and Adderall are both medications used to treat ADHD, but they work in slightly different ways. Methylphenidate primarily increases the levels of dopamine and norepinephrine in the brain, while Adderall also increases the levels of these neurotransmitters but also releases more of them. Additionally, Adderall contains a combination of amphetamine salts, while methylphenidate is a single compound. Both medications can be effective in managing ADHD symptoms, but individual responses may vary.
