Theoretically branded PCs are more stable because all parts are manufactured by one company while so called clone PCs are assembled with different companies' parts. In this case not all hardware could work with its maximum speed. For the regular use I will suggest to use clone PCs because they cost times less and no one will be able to see the difference in performance (it is too low, milliseconds, one millisecond = 0.001 second).
The difference is usually price and support.
With a PC it means little, as the machine and the OS are separate things.
With an Apple it means everything. Apple controls the machines and the OS for them.

It will all depend on how much you want to spend. A non branded computer will cost less, also maybe better performance. Down side is that you don't have any grantee on it. A branded computer are (in my view) better built but maybe has less performance. However, you will have a grantee on this. In my option, building a computer will be the best option because it will be cheaper, and you will know all components if needed to upgrade.
