There are many advantages to owning a personal computer. These advantages depend on how an individual uses the computer. Personal computers are used for many tasks from teaching preschool age children to money and account managing.
Computer teachers primary job is to take computer theory class and practical sessions as well. Apart from this they can help other teaching staff to understand use of computer to facilitate their teaching in other subjects. Preparing Question papers and evaluating the same. analysing student performance. Conduct sessions to help school kids to understant future of computers and how it will and may help humans in future.
Well, I'm working on teaching my technologically challenged dad the basics of computing, and so far I've found that the most important thing to teach them (other than stuff like the keyboard and mouse) is how the hierarchy of folders works. Before I showed him that, he used the computer like a typewriter, simply re-typing everything whenever he needed it again. Also, tell them not to be afraid to poke around. Even if something goes wrong, the things they learned by looking around their computer will far outbalance the negatives. There you go, and good luck!
This would depend both on the school doing the teaching and the student doing the learning. Some schools don't have one discipline or the other; many consider these two things to be identical.
