Type I Diabetes is an Insulin dependent diabetes mellitus i.e. very little or no insulin is produced by the pancreas.

Type II Diabetes is a non Insulin dependent Diabetes mellitus i.e. Pancreas does not make enough insulin or body does not use insulin correctly.

Type One: Autoimmune disease caused by the destruction of cells in the pancreas that produce insulin.

Type Two: Cells in the body become resistant to the effects of insulin, e.g. fat storage cells.

Type 1 diabetes is a life long disease and type 2 is usually acquired as adults. Children are born with type 1 very often and live with it all their lives being insulin dependent.

You should be concerned. If you don't change your diet your future will not be bright.

You just have to change your diet and it's not as hard as you think.

You need to adopt a low carbohydrate /ketogenic diet. I was in the same boat

as you 18 months ago, so I know it can be done. Today my blood sugar is normal

and I don't take any medicine! Here are some tips to help you get started.
