police dogs are trained to sniff out drugs and other dangerous stuff such as like bombs.
the difference is that dog can dislocate there jaws :)
Dogs and mice are two different animals in the earth.... thats like saying whats the difference between humans and giraffes. ALOT
farm dogs and herding dogs, uh, that's dumb there the same thing! police dogs can be a number of different breeds, they can even be herding/farm dogs. so you'd have probably quarter wolf, quarter some type of herding dog, quarter some type of a different breed farm dog, and quarter whatever breed the police dog was.
Examples of working dogs are: police dogs, firefighter dogs, search and rescue dogs, eye dogs, and guard dogs. A herding dog herds sheep, cattle, horses, chickens (yes, there is such a thing) and pigs, and etc.
Some sheep are just different to others! Put it in a way like dogs no two dogs are the same there a lots of different breeds of dog, Well the same for sheep.
Dogs can eat them. There is a small difference
No, not all police have dogs. There is a K-9 unit for police with dogs though.
A domestic dog is one that is bred and raised in captivity to live in the world of humans. Pets are domestic dogs, as are police dogs and others trained to work for humans. Police dogs are owned by police departments and are specially trained to assist in police work. Some work in apprehending suspects while others work in detecting things like drugs or bombs. Wild dogs are those who descend from dogs who have been abandoned or lost. They live as scavengers on the outskirts of human civilization. Some subsist on garbage and others kill pets or live stock to survive. --------------------------- Quote: "A police dog is simply a specially trained domestic dog. Wild dogs come in two varieties: wolves and feral domestic dogs (which are domestic dogs that have developed packs outside of human society and act wild). Currently, scientists do not consider wolves and dogs to be different species but rather different subspecies." The person who wrote this is not a scientist certainly not one who can make a general staement like this. The difference is many years of selective breeding for specific abilities. Dogs with certain personalities, certain bodies, smelling capabilites etc. have been chosen to be used as police dogs. Wild dogs have lived because of the "survival of the fittest". Wild dogs and police dogs have different attributes but the way they have developed is entirely different.
okay first cats and dogs are different even in the wild. second all animals behave different under different circumstances.
== == == == == == No difference
Police dogs come from many different breeds and would not have special adaptations that differ from the breed.The dogs are generally chosen for good health, exceptional temperament and the ability and willingness to accept the specialized training.
The wolf is the ancestor of the dog. This is what makes them the same. The only difference is that dogs are domesticated and breed for different breeds.
