At school you can learn about the force of gravity and how it pulls things towards the center of the Earth. This is "knowledge".

When you are out walking and fall over the edge of a cliff and hurt yourself, this is "experience" of gravity.

Thus knowledge is stuff you know about; experience is stuff you have lived through.
