Not a whole lot. reading the labels and content you will find a little bit more protein in the SW food as opposed to the FW food. Fat content and Potash may vary as well. The SW foods tend to have more ocean type ingredients... krill, mysis shrimp... etc.
The main difference is in the species of fish caught and the bait used to do so. Then there is the extra corrosion caused to fishing gear if it is not properly cleaned after use to remove the salt. In most other things it boils down to dangling a line in the water with a baited hook on the end and waiting for a fish to come and bite it. This is the same process in fresh water and in sea water.
saltwater: has salt in it,is not drinkable,is more denser than fresh water
freshwater: does not have salt in it,drinkable,is less denser than salt water

In freshwater yes. I would not recommend it in saltwater. If it is not in the ocean naturally I would not put it in a saltwater tank. There isn't too much you can't put in freshwater.
Certain freshwater fish can survive saltwater conditions; examples are black mollies, mono's and scats. All of these fish aren't truly freshwater or saltwater, they are Brackish. Brackish is between freshwater and saltwater, and so these fish are highly adaptable.
Because saltwater fish can only breathe in saltwater (as in the ocean) and freshwater fish can only breathe in freshwater (as in tap water.)
There are freshwater drum, and saltwater drum species.
