Green buildings are designed, built and managed in a way that makes them as sustainable as possible over the lifetime of the building, with minimal impact on the environment. There are hundreds of ways of making a house, a school or a commercial building green and sustainable, but the best green buildings all include the following 8 factors: The right site Minimal energy use Sustainable materials Healthy ventilation Water conservation Energy conservation Green amenities Good building management For more information on these 8 factors, on green buildings and sustainable architecture, go to the following website: http://greenliving.about.com/od/architecturedesign/tp/green_buildings.htm

Sustainable Architecture is when a design is less damaging to the area in which it is being placed. For instance using a type of asphalt that allows water to pass through it. Or else using systems within the building to eliminate the amount of energy need or water used such as low flow toilets or water catch systems. This allows building to be more environmentally friendly and green.

Check out Green2Green.org. They have a lot of information on green building materials as well as other ways to go green. The California Integrated Waste Management Board has a website dedicated to Green Building Materials. That should, if nothing else, serve as a good start for you.
what is the difference between the green mamba and the cobra
A lot of people dont believe it, but some of the most sustainable buildings are made out of recycled products. These buildings are known as green buildings.
A green building uses as many methods as possible to reduce the use of carbon-based energy. It would contain the highly efficient lighting elements (compact), possibly there would be alternate energy sources like solar units or wind driven units on the building or nearby. Energy efficient design would be built in to a new building, etc.
