In nature, air is known to contain water vapor in itself. When the water vapor condenses, or turns into liquid water, there is a very high chance of precipitation. The dew point temperature is the temperature at which the water vapor in air condenses into a liquid. When air is at the dew point temperature, a cloud begins to form.
Relative humidity is a long term that simply means is how full of water is air. Air can only hold so much water vapor, and when air is full of it, it is "saturated." When there is no water vapor in the air, there is 0% humidity. When air is full of water vapor and can't hold anymore, there is 100% humidity.
Humidity is scientifically a measure of the concentration of water vapor in the atmosphere, absolutely, or as a fraction (%) of the maximum possible the atmosphere can hold at the current temperature without condensation into water droplets (fog), known as relative humidity. Saturation means that addition of more water vapour results in condensation of the excess. If unsaturated air is cooled, the amount of water vapour it can hold before it condenses into droplets falls.
