A Medical University can be a school to get your Degree as well as a working hospital with an ER, inpatient wards, ETC. But a medical school is just a School and usally not a working hospital.
AnswerI've never heard of a "medical university." The usual term is a medical school, normally part of a university.
There are also technical medical schools for students looking to pursue a degree in medical assisting, dental assisting etc. I would look into SCI Texas. Its a technical school in Texas. Check out http://www.scitexas.com
