From the Arizona Motor Vehicle Division website: "A motorcycle license or endorsement is required to drive a motorcycle or motor-driven cycle. You must be at least 16 to apply for a motorcycle license." For the sake of AZ law, a 'scooter' of <50cc is a 'motor-driven cycle' 50cc or larger is a 'motorcycle'.
There is no difference between the term "motor ship" and the term "motor vessel." The two are commonly used interchangeably.

In UK law, there are two classes of two wheel motorized vehicle: Moped (a vehicle not exceeding 50cc) and motorcycle. Motorbike is a slang term for motorcycle and used, along with the contracted form bike to describe, in general terms, any plastic fantastic, tupperware tornado or screaming Japanese crotch rocket. The US tend to raise the status of their iron horses to icon, and so motorcycle is much more fitting.
The main difference between hybrid and non-hybrid vehicles is that hybrid vehicles use a bank of batteries along with an electric motor to power the car.

Usually no difference except that later model vehicles require a multi-viscosity oil (5w-30, 10w-30. etc) while the regular 30w is recommended for small engines such as a lawn mower.

There is not precise definition but a motor scooter usually has a small engine and you do not have to straddle it---rather you place your feet on a floor. People who ride large motorcylces will probably classify many smaller cycles as scooters just because of the size of the engine.
