The path is the actual directions to a file describing every step. This often happen when u have it in a folder, fro example you store your Math Homework in a folder called School Stuff, in a default folder My Documents, using the user Tom.
Therefore the path will be Users>Tom>My Documents>School Stuff>Math_Homework.docx
However the source, i guess would be the one place that it came from, which is the School Stuff folder.
