When marketing a product the marketer has to show that the product is desirable to the consumer, whereas when marketing a retail service it is a relationship that is being promoted not just a single transaction.
There is no definition for product based marketing mix anywhere so i dont know. However service-based is the 3 additional P's -people, process and physical evidence, so i assume product-based in the 4 P's ??
