The most obvious answer is probably right in this case, if it is problematic, you are probably dependent. If you are dependent it could get problematic. Dependence would mean your body and mind need it to cope, and that means the person isn't dealing with unresolved issues-problematic. If it is problematic, this means it is causing stress in your daily relationships, your pocket, your health, and the law. Usually if someone has problematic drug use they are dependent, because why wouldn't the person just quit at the first sign of trouble-because there body and mind needs it-dependence. Usually there are many underlying causes to dependence, not just physical, but a lacking in the social department, and arent comfortable with themselves or their past. Didnt mean to sound redundant but they both seem to coincide.
