Reincarnation is the belief that after death our soul enters, or we are reborn as another living thing, IE. a blade of grass or an animal. Some religions that believe this don't eat animals for this reason. Afterlife is the belief that after death we go to live in another place. The most common afterlife belief is the Christian doctrine of heaven.
Afterlife, as the word suggests, is anything that can happen after life or rather after death. Some people believe that we will go to heaven or hell, that is one option of an afterlife. But who goes to heaven and hell? The body is consumed and returns to dust. Therefore some people who believe in an afterlife believe that there is a life after death, that the body returns to dust but the one who was alive, the ME, the Mind and the Ego based on its action or Karma is reborn in a new life and this is the afterlife - a life after death. This cycle goes on and on based on our cumulative past actions. For such people, heaven and hell do not exist on some distant star but we experience heaven or hell on earth when we take rebirth.
