cross pollination is when 2 plants "male" ( has only a stamen) and "female" (has only a pistil) and they pollinate by pollen being blown around in the wind, through bees, or humming birds. self pollination is when a flower has both reproductive parts (both pistil and stamen) and can pollinate itself
