The result from using either one is dependent on what brand or kind being used. The only differences are that shaving soap needs water and gets "bubbly" and cream you just slide on a light layer wait for a few minutes a shave the hair off.

∙ 14y agoWell , shaving lotion makes your skin feel softer and smoother . When using shaving cream your not adding any softness but you would have to put lotion on later. (: if that helped.
