The solvent in a solution is dissolving the solute. A solution is groups of molecules that are mixed in a completely even distribution. Basically a solute dissolved in a solvent.

An example of a solvent would be water and a solute could be sugar. The sugar would dissolve in the water which would be a solution.

What is the difference between a solvent and a solute?

in a solvent is the part of a solution in which another substance dissolves. a solute is the part of a solution that dissolves into another substance. in a suger solution, water is the solvent and the suger is the solute.

What is the difference between solute solvent and solution?

When a solute is dissolved in a solvent, you'll get a solution. solute + solvent = solution Solvents, like water, dissolve other substances. Solutes are the substances being dissolved, like sugar. The solution is the final combination of both.

What is the difference between a solute and solvent?

In a solution, the particles which are present in larger quantity are called solvent and the particles which are present in smaller quantity are called solute. For example, in aqueous NaCl solution: NaCl is the solute particle and H2O is the solvent.

Difference between compound and a solution?

A compound is a single entity formed from molecules.A compound dissoved (now is a solute) in a solvent form a solution.

What is the difference between concentrated solution and dilute solution?

dilute is a solution far from being saturated concentrated is a solution that has so much solute that it is relatively close to being saturated

What is the main difference between hypertonic solution and hypotonic solution?

Hypertonic solution is one which has higher osmotic concentration and less solvent concentration as compared to another solution. Hypotonic solution is one that possesses lower osmotic concentration and higher solvent concentration as compared to another solution.

Difference between solute and dispersed particle?

The basic difference is that solute atoms remains in the solvent giving a new solution , u can't directly separate them out from the solution while the dispersed particles also stay in the solvent with out affecting the properties of the solvent & u can directly separate them out by the methods like filtration.

What is the difference between concentrated solution and solubility?

Solubility refers to the ability of a solute to dissolve in a solvent. The concentration of a solution refers to the amount of solute that is dissolved.
