Is the Wii Remote Charging Deck worth the purchase in comparison to just using new batteries?

Yes it is, the dock ranges between $10-20 and comes with two Ni-mh rechargable battery packs, and the charger itself. The battery packs last longer then normal batteries, and take little time to charge. This means you are spending $10-$20 once compared to spending $4-$20 (depending on the amount of batteries in each pack) every few weeks for normal batteries. The Dock is a god investment for long term.
