What is the difference between thermography and mammography?
A biopsy is when surgeons open up your body and search for issues surgically, while a thermography is the use of heat to examine the internal workings of your body. Biopsies are more accurate, but thermographies are less-invasive and can sometimes be safer.
The cost of mammography varies widely.
In medicine, thermography is used to find areas of the body where irregular blood flow is present. Thermography is used by sports doctors, veterinarians, and allergists. It has been suggested that thermography can be used to diagnose cancer, though it isn't commonly used as of yet.

77052 - Screening mammography
The answer is simple, neither is better. Certain types of Cancer can only be found by Mammography while other types are more easily viewed with a thermal imaging camera. The truth is that both of these should be used in conjunction with each other to fully and accurately identify cancers. The use of thermal imaging for breast cancer can be an extremely accurate and early detection device, allowing doctors to find certain types of cancers up to 8 - 10 years prior to a mammogram. And over and extended period of time, thermograms can prove useful in find any abnormalities that may appear on a patient."Thermal Imaging can detect certain cancers 10 years before a mammogram with a 90% accuracy and without the discomfort, errors, and radiation associated with mammography."Personally I think Thermography is better than Mammography in it's accuracy and non-contact usage. But Obviously, it is more beneficial to the patient to use every means possible to find any possible cancers or anomalies as early as possible. So both should be used in conjunction.More information can be found at www.MedicalIR.com
