Work input is what you do in labor to get the job done. Work output is what you get from the work. Take farming for example: you plant seeds (that's the work input) and when it grows corn that's the output.

Explain the difference between a put option and a short position in a futures contract?

Well, the first difference is the root difference between a futures contract and an option contract: in a futures contract you MUST complete the sale at the end of the contract (if you didn't buy it back before the settlement date) but in an option you CAN.Once we're past that, the short position in a futures contract--the person who has the item the contract is derived from, such as a thousand bushels of wheat--is the same as the buyer of a put. Both of them have the thing now, and will transfer title to it after settlement or exercise.

What is the difference between selling a naked put vs. selling a naked call?

Selling a naked put is a bullish strategy, and is mathematically the same as a covered call write, where you buy something and sell a call against it. Selling a naked call is a bearish strategy, and is the same as covered short write, where you short something and write a put against it. In either case, you make money from time decay, falling volatility, or a move in the direction that you want.

Explain carefully the difference between writing a put option and buying a call option?

When you write a put option, you are player banker to someone betting that the price of a stock is going up. You receive the "bet" in the form of the options premium earned form the person buying the put options from you. If the stock fails to exceed the strike price of the put options by expiration, the buyer has lost the bet and you keep the "bet" money as profit. In this case, your profit is limited to the "bet" money or options premium you received for selling the put options. When you buy a call option, you are buying the right to buy a stock at a fixed price until expiration. If you buy a call option with strike price of $10 and the stock subsequently went up to $50, you can still buy the stock at $10 and then sell it for $50, making the $40 difference as profit. In this case, your profit is only limited to how high the stock rises.

Difference between put option and call option?

The holder/purchaser/owner of a call option contract has the right to buy an asset (or call the asset away) from a writer/seller of a call option contract at the pre-determined contract or strike price. The holder/purchaser/owner of a call option contract expects the price of the underlying asset to rise during the term or duration of the call contract, for as the value of the underlying asset increases so does the value of the call option contract. Conversely, the write/seller of a call option contract expects the price of the underlying asset to remain stable or to decline. The holder/purchaser/owner of a put option contract has the right to sell an asset (or put the asset) to a writer/seller of a put option contract at the pre-determined contract or strike price. The holder/purchaser/owner of a put option contract expects the price of the underlying asset to decline during the term or duration of the put contract, for as the value of the underlying asset declines the contract value increases. Conversely, the writer/seller of a put option contract expects the price of the underlying asset to remain stable or to rise.

What is the measure of how much useful work a machine puts out compared to the amount of work put into it?

That is called the efficiency, and it is a number between 0 and 1 (or 0% and 100%). It is obtained by dividing output power / input power.

What is the difference between input and output?

What is the difference between output and input? If you sing into a microphone you can hear the microphone's output.Sound coming out of the power amp to the speakers. That is the input of the loudspeaker.Do you see the difference?Your voice is the microphone's input. Its output is electrical impulses that are input to the amplifier. The amplified impulses are the output of the amplifier and input to the speaker. Sound waves are output of the speaker and input to your ears.

The comparison between output work imput work is?

Work input is how much work you put into a machine and work output is the work done by the machine according to how much work you put into it. You will never get more work out of a machine than you put into it. The efficiency of a machine is how much useful work you got out of the machine compared to how much you put in (expressed in a percent). Efficiency = Useful Work Output ÷ Work Input

What is the difference between an input and an output device?

An input device is something that puts information in something. Let's use a computer for example. A mouse and a keyboard are input devices because they put information INTO the computer. Output devices, such as printers, put out information.

What is the definition of output and input work?

Is a machines output work the number times the machines multiples the input work?

Nothing can multiply the input work. The best that any ideal, perfect gizmo can dois to put out exactly the same amount of work as you put into it, but there's noreal gizmo that even does that. Every real gizmo in the world puts out less workthan you put into it.
