Generic Lortab and it's generic will deliver the same medication to you over a given amount of time, however the concentration of the drug in your body at any given instance will be different. This is the basis of something called AB Rating, which is used by the Orange Book to determine which drugs pharmacists can substitute for a given prescription written by a medical provider.
What does this all mean? It means that if you are given Lortab 10, your body will absorb the 10 mg of hydrocodone over a certain time. If you take generic hydrocodone 10mg (with acetaminophen of course) your body will also absorb the same amount of drug. What will be different is the rate at which the drug is absorbed and removed. For example, with the brand name drug, you might have a more steady concentration of drug in your body at any given moment than with the generic. (This is sometimes the case with pain medications.)
