The spring tide is the tide that has the greatest difference between low and high tides. This type of tide occurs during new or full moons when the gravitational pull of the moon combines with that of the sun's.
The height difference between high and low tide varies in different places and at different times according to the earth's position relative to the sun and moon. The weather and prevailing winds also affect tide heights.
The place with the greatest tidal rise/fall is generally considered to be in the Bay of Fundy, Canada, which, on occasions can have a high/low tidal difference of some 21 metres (about 70 feet).
However, Ungava Bay (Canada) is a close contender. After long and careful comparison of the data, the Canadian Hyrodrographic Service has ruled that both places are joint first in the high/low tides competition!)

Tides are created because the Earth and the moon are attracted to each other, just like magnets are attracted to each other. The moon tries to pull at anything on the Earth to bring it closer. But, the Earth is able to hold onto everything except the water. Since the water is always moving, the Earth cannot hold onto it, and the moon is able to pull at it. Each day, there are two high tides and two low tides. The ocean is constantly moving from high tide to low tide, and then back to high tide. There is about 12 hours and 25 minutes between the two high tides
The highest tide is called a spring tide, and you get it when the Moon and the Sun are aligned and pull together. THe lowest high tide is when the Sun and the Moon are on opposite sides of the Earth, partially cancelling each other out.
Low tide is when the waves of the ocean dont reach as far inland, and high tide is obviously when the tide reaches farther inland. This depends on the moon as well.
That's when Earth, the Sun, and the Moon are aligned - i.e., at full moon and at new moon.
Spring tide's
both spring tides and neap tides have a 20% difference from normal tides
tidal range
Minimum tides are also known as low tides. It's the lowest a tide will get in the cycle of highs and lows.
Semi diurnal tides occur twice a day (2 low tides, 2 high tides) and diurnal tides occur once (1 high tide one low tide) per day.
So if you know that low tide is at 0800 today you can estimate that it will be at 0850 tomorrow.

True!
the moon
A neap tide is a tide with the least difference between consecutive and low and high tides. A spring tides are combined forces which produce a tide with a greatest difference between consecutive low and high tides. They occur because the moons gravitational pull is pulling it.
Greatest Hits of The Outlaws... High Tides Forever was created in 1982.
A neap tide happens during the quarter phase of the moon and they are weak tides. There is a very small difference between high and low tides during this time.
tidal range
Tides may be semidiurnal (two high waters and two low waters each day), or diurnal (one tidal cycle per day). In most locations, tides are semidiurnal. Because of the diurnalcontribution, there is a difference in height (the daily inequality) between the two high waters on a given day. Some of the greatest differences between high and low tides re found in the Bay of Fundy (eastern Canada).
neap tides are moderate tides at normal rates while spring tides are more extereme ex to high or to low .
Minimum tides are also known as low tides. It's the lowest a tide will get in the cycle of highs and lows.
Semi diurnal tides occur twice a day (2 low tides, 2 high tides) and diurnal tides occur once (1 high tide one low tide) per day.
