A saturated solution is one in which no more of the solute will dissolve at a specific temperature.

An unsaturated solution is one in which more of the solute could dissolve at the same temperature.

A supersaturated solution is when a solution which contains more solute than would normally dissolve at a certain temperature.

Saturated means the solution is stable and isnt necessary for it to obtain or hold anymore of the solute being dissolved in the solvent. Unsaturated means the solution hasnt reached the saturated point, it can still hold more solute. Supersaturated means that the solution is holding the max it can in solute, the solvent in the solution can hold no more or if more of the solute is added to the solution it would end up in the bottom of its container unable to mix with the rest of the solution.

A saturated solution contains all the dissolved solute that it can have in a stable state; a supersaturated solution has more dissolved solute than the amount that constitutes a saturated solution, and as a result it is not stable. If the solution is perturbed in some way, there will be a precipitation of the solute.

A saturated solution contains exactly the maximum amount of solute that is stable dissolved in a solvent. In a saturated solution, it is not possible to dissolve any more solute. On the other hand, a super-saturated solution contains more solute than a solvent can hold normally. Super saturated solutions will thus precipitate some solute when disturbed or provided with nucleation centers.

A solution that contains more than it would normallyhold at that temperature is said to be what?

Supersaturated.

What is the type of solution with so much solute that no more will dissolve?

When a solute is added to a solvent until no more dissolves, the solution is said to be saturated. In some cases a solution can be made to be supersaturated by temporarily increasing the solubility of the solvent, such as through an increase in temperature.

When solution can't hold more solute?

when a solvent can hold no more solute it is called saturated

What is the definition of saturated solution?

Saturation is divided into 3 groups: Saturated. Unsaturated. Supersaturated. Supersaturated is when there is too much solute in the solvent so the excess solute just falls to the bottom of the beaker/flask/cup.

What do we call a solution that has as many ions as it can hold?
