a groundhog, of course~ Punxutawney Phil. All it means is this: if the little rodent casts a shadow, there will be six weeks left of winter. If he doesn't cast a shadow, winter will end sooner. This year, on Feb. 2, today, which is Groundhog Day, he did NOT see his shadow, so it'll be an early Spring.
That IS the answer. the difference is whether you see your shadow or not.

If the groundhog sees it's shadow that means there will be 6 more weeks of winter.
What will happen if he sees his shadow is that there will be 6 more weeks of winter .
Punxsutawney Phil did indeed see his shadow in 2010, although groundhogs in most other cities throughout the country did not.
Supposedly when Punxsutawney Phil sees his shadow winter will continue for six more weeks.
NO
According to legend, if Phil sees his shadow on Feb. 2, the scared groundhog returns to his burrow and the USA is in store for six more weeks of winter. But, if he doesn't see his shadow, the country can expect warmer temperatures and an early spring.
No
If the groundhog sees it's shadow that means there will be 6 more weeks of winter.
If a groundhog sees its shadow then there will be 6 more weeks of winter.
The groundhog comes out on Groundhog's Day, and if it sees it's shadow, it goes back in and we have 3 more weeks of winter. If it doesn't see it's shadow, winter is over.
there is 6 more weeks of winter
No, the point of the Groundhog Day is to see if there will be a longer winter. If the Groundhog "sees" his shadow, then there will be a longer winter. If the Groundhog doesn't "see" his shadow, then the winter for that year will be over. Personally, I think the Groundhog Day is very biased because what they do is take a groundhog and hold him up against lights so everyone may see. Well, if there are many of bright lights, his shadow will definitely be there won't it? (:
