Use a hair tie ( a hair tie is and elastic silly.) Stick a couple bobby pins in it.
The hair tie is made up of small peices of elastic covered in soft and strechy fabric sewn togather.
Ribbons have been used to tie hair throughout much of history. However, the modern version of the hair tie originated in 1900 with elastic headbands. In 1986, the scrunchie hair tie was invented by Rommy Revson.

MY hair? I don't even know you, so please, don't try to tie my hair, with hair tie or without.
Well, there are a few methods, but here are 2 of them: 1. Flip your head over and gather your hair into a high ponytail. Then take the hair, twist it and wrap it around itself to form a bun shape. Then simply take a hair tie or bobby pins and secure it in place. This will form a tight bun, but you can pull on your hair to make it look looser/ more distressed. 2. Gather your hair into a regular ponytail. Start securing it with a hair tie, but on your last time wrapping the elastic around your hair, only pull the hair halfway through the elastic. . :)

Have ready: -pillow case (small or short hair and large for long hair) - 2-4 hair elastics Step 1: Put your hair in the pillow case strait. Step 2: Lightly tie an elastic around the base of your hair(to hold the pillow case to your hair) Step 3: Lightly tie elastics down the rest of the pillowcase in a row allowing your hair to stay strait! P.s. I do this all the time!
