Volts are a measure of electrical pressure....... symbol V Watts are a measure of Electrical Power.....symbol W Now interestingly Watts are a product (or is it sum, I can never remember) of the Volts multiplied by the Amps (symbol I) written as W= VxI ie 20Watts = 10Volts x 2 Amps. Transposing the formula above gives the relationships between Amps, Volts,Watts. Resistance is also a player.......... symbol R (unit is Ohms) but that's not the question Hope this helps.
