the basic difference is between the distance between the molecule which totally changes their shape and structure .......
GAS: The molecules of gases are very far from each other therefore they neither have definite shape nor definite volume
they can be compressed easily and the rate of diffusion is highest in gases
LIQUID: The molecule are far but not very far from each other . As they are lit bit far therefore they dont have definite shape . they take the shape of their container. they have definite volume
their compressibility is less than gasses, they can be compressed to some extent under high pressure . their rate of diffusion is less than gasses.....
Boiling is a phase change when a liquid slowly turns into a gas. Evaporation is when a liquid immediately becomes a gas on the surface.
The difference between them is that boiling is when you heat a liguid and it turns into a gas, vaporization is when a liquid changes into a gas and evaporation occurs at the surface of a liquid beneath its boiling point.
the distance between the particles and the average kinetic movement of the particles.
liquid
-Solid and a liquid? -A liquid and a gas? -A solid and gas? from roop
Matter is different solid liquid and gas
Oxygen can be liquid or a gas. It is just a different state of matter.
Water is a liquid and Gas is a gas
gas can be compressed
A gas has greater kinetic energy than a liquid.
melting (solid to liquid) freezing (liquid to solid) *vaporization (liquid to gas) condensation (gas to liquid) sublimation (solid to gas) *evaporation, boiling
They are in 2 different states? The 3 states - Solid/Liquid/Gas.
