Compounds are formed by chemical changes using 2 or more elements.
There are 2 kinds of elements. Molecular compounds are made up of molecules. One molecule is the smallest particle of these compounds. Water is one of these type compounds and the smallest particle is a water molecule which has exactly 2 hydrogen atoms and 1 oxygen atom.
There is another kind of compound called an ionic compound. These do not contain individual molecules, but the oppositely charged ions attract each other in large numbers and form ionic crystals. Table salt, NaCl, is one of these ionic compounds and exists as a large number of positive sodium ions attracted to a large number of negative chloride ions.
A molecule is formed when two or more atoms join together chemically. A compound is a molecule that contains at least two different elements. All compounds are molecules but not all molecules are compounds. Molecular hydrogen (H2), molecular oxygen (O2) and molecular nitrogen (N2) are not compounds because each is composed of a single element. Water (H2O), carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane (CH4) are compounds because each is made from more than one element. The smallest bit of each of these substances would be referred to as a molecule. For example, a single molecule of molecular hydrogen is made from two atoms of hydrogen, while a single molecule of water is made from two atoms of hydrogen and one atom of oxygen.
A molecule is formed when two or more atoms join together chemically . A compound is a molecule that contains at least 2 different elements. All compounds are molecules but not all molecules are compounds . That is the right answer.
A molecule is the smallest unit of a compound that has all the chemical properties of the compound.
I got mixed up on this too! A molecule is made up of one molecule and a compund is made up of a ton of molecules together.
A compound is a molecule that contains at least 2 different elements. A molecule is formed when 2 atoms chemically form.
A compound is made up of molecules.
A compound.
A compound.
It might be either a molecule or an ionic compound.
Not all molecule are compound molecule has more than two different atoms that are together chemically. A compound is a molecule that has at least two different elements.
A compound is a molecule that contains at lest two different elements. A compound is a molecule because it also contains two or more different atoms.
the difference between a molecule and a compound is the spelling.
A compound consists of more than one element INTRAMOLECULARLY bonded. Intramolecular - within the molecule; occurring by a reaction between different parts of the same molecule.
An element is such as oxygen, or nitrogen etc., A compound is a chemical combination between atoms of different elements, e.g. water (H2O) is a compound, because it contains two different elements.
A molecule is not a mixture. It may or may not be a compound. If it is made up of different types of atoms it is a compound, if it is all one type then it is a molecule.
Answer:molecular compound
A molecule is formed when two or more atoms join together chemically. A compound is a molecule that contains at least two different elements. All compounds are molecules but not all molecules are compounds.
A compound is a molecule that contains at least 2 different elements. A molecule is formed when 2 atoms chemically form.
I don't think there is a such thing, sorry. a molecule isn't the same as a compound. They are 2 different things a molecule is the smallest physical unit of an element or compound, consisting of one or more like atoms in an element and two or more different atoms in a compound. A compound is not. Hope this helps. =)
Dinitrogen (N2) is a molecule that is not a compound, as it only contains nitrogen atoms. Hydrogen chloride is a molecule that is a compound, as it contains two different elements.
A compound is a molecule that contains at least 2 different elements. A molecule is formed when 2 atoms chemically form.
