voluntary manslaughetering is when the defendent kills someone because of the heat at the moment;for example if the victim is kissing with the killers wife or if the victim holds a gun against a loved one involuntary manslaughtering is when a person knows someone is going to die or get injured and they dont do anything about it

In the case of voluntary manslaughter, there has to be enough evidence to show that the victim provoked the incident. In the case of involuntary manslaughter, evidence must be presented that the defendant did not have any intent to commit a homicide, but in that defendant's reckless act, the victim died.

Involuntary means accidental, not on purpose. Voluntary is not accidental, done on purpose.

Voluntary - you caused death meaning to do so. Involuntary - you caused death without necessarily meaning to do so.
