Its a Fender Tele bass. It looks like a Mike Dirnt Signature but its not the same thing. Its got a P bass pickup in it, a tele bass pickguard and controls, and a C profile Tele neck. You can get a normal P bass to sound the exact same way. Basically its a neck prefernce choice, but the P bass and Tele bass get the same sound.
if you are a beginner on the bass a good bass would be a squier affinity series jazz bass or precision bass. the jazz bass has a slimmer neck than the p bass but the p bass is a better bass for crunchy tone . i got the pbass.
Pretty sure you cant, the bronco is a short scale
Owning both basses, I can tell you that the Fender Jazz does have a thinner neck than the Precision. I don't know the exact difference (measurement wise) but it's definitely a noticeable difference.
plays bass! :P
It all depends on what kind of player you are. I have played both P and J-basses and i prefer the P-bass. It is great for classic rock and early heavy metal like Black Sabbath. The Jazz bass gets more tone variations while the precision only has a master volume and master tone. You also must not forget that the p-bass is cheaper than the j-bass, for what reasons, i don't know. I also have to mention that the p-bass has a thicker more comfortable neck. I have played bass for over 25 years and i prefer a thicker neck over the skinny ones. The very last thing is that the p-bass is much lighter than the j-bass. So if you are looking for a lighter more comfortable bass with low tone variations with the sound and drive needed for classic rock 'n' roll at a cheap price than the Fender Precision Bass is the bass for you. Here is a small list of notable p-bass players. (John Paul Jones, Geezer Butler, Nate Mendel, John Deacan, John Entwistle, Jet Harris, Phil Lynott, and Dee Dee Romone)
Robert P. Bass was born on 1873-09-01.
A Fender P Bass can be purchased from a music store including online ones. A national chain such as Guitar Center is also an option for purchasing a Fender P Bass.

It could be done, but it would involve routing the body and modifying/replacing the pickguard. If you do it yourself, it will cost the price of a pickup and a pickguard. If you hire it done, prices will vary.
The P stands for Precision. The Precision Bass is the oldest model of electric bass created by Fender. It is still widely used and imitated today.
