You do not need a diploma to become a Marine. You can even enter right after high school. The first thing you will do is go to basic training (bootcamp) to learn the basics of being a Marine. After bootcamp, you will go to either SOI or MOS school depending on which job code you enlist under to obtain specialized training in your job field. The Marine Corps will teach you everything you need to know.

There is no need to have a degree unless you want to become an officer. In that event, any 4 year degree is ok. Talk to a recruiter. He or she will be able to tell you the ins and outs in a better one-on-one conversation.
