3/24/06 It depends on whether you measure the distance between NA and Greenland (which belongs to Denmark, therefore is Europe)from Cape Dyer on Baffin Island to the west coast of Greenland--about 100 statute miles--or measure the distance between Ellesmere Island across the Nares Strait to the Western coast of Greenland which would be approximately 3 statue miles. Are Baffin and Ellesmere considered part of NA--probably.
