Pandharpur is in the heart of Maharashtra near Sholapur. The Pandharpur temple was built in the middle of the thirteenth century by King Visnuvardhana of the Hoysala dynasty.
Shree Shailam is in Andhra Pradesh, 230 kms near Hyderabad. Buses ply very frequently from Hyderabad to Shree Shailam. Pandharpur is in Maharashtra, nearly 250 kms from Mumbai. Fast passenger train runs every day from Mumbai to Pandharpur. My suggestion: don't worry about the distance. Just determine that you have to see both these divine places. I am fortunate to have visited Pandharpur, have darshan of Vitthala Rukmini and bathed in River Chandrabhaga! And am going to visit Shree Shailam tomorrow. I am very happy.
