Ask your vet. They know
You should only deworm for tapeworms when there is evidence that your puppy has tapeworms. Always consult your veterinarian if you think that your puppy has parasites.

The appropriate dosage of metronidazole for a puppy with gastrointestinal issues is typically 5-15 mg per pound of body weight, given every 12 hours. It is important to consult with a veterinarian for the correct dosage and duration of treatment for your puppy.
Check with ur vet for dosage but yes
Those are tapeworms. Go to the vet to get medication.
It depends on the dosage of Benadryl (Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride (HCL)). The recommended dosage is 1-2mg per lb of the dog. So your 20lb pug would need approximately 20-40mg. The standard Benadryl tablet is 25mg. So give your dog roughly 1-1.5 Benadryl tablets every 8-12 hours as needed for symptoms.
Yes, in the correct dosage. However, tapeworms have the ability to spread egg carrying cysts throughout your body and even to your brain, so if you think you have tapeworm you should definitely see a doctor.
The white things in your puppy's poop could be segments of tapeworms. It is common for puppies to get tapeworm infections, usually from ingesting fleas. It is important to take your puppy to the vet for a proper diagnosis and treatment.
Yes, it is possible because the worm (a parasite) lives off all the food and water the puppy consumes. The puppy's belly would look very fat (deceiving) and feel very hard.
Bathe the puppy in oatmeal shampoo or a mild shampoo, you can use Benadryl but it is best to ask a veterinarian how much to use, because a human dosage can kill a puppy. So please call a vet.

It would be best to just cut down the dosage that the directions give. For instance, if you're using a liquid dewormer (which you should be using w/ a puppy), it will usually say 1 tsp for every 5 lbs. I have a puppy that is about 2 lbs so I just cut the dosage down to 1/2 tsp. FYI: received info from vet office.
