Pregnancy rates tend to "lag" behind the return of sperm and depending a lot on the female age and fertility potential. In general, after vasovasostomy, pregnancies occur an average of 6-9 months after the procedure and as soon as the first unprotected sex occurs. I recently saw a patient conceive 8 days after the procedure! After epididymovasostomy, pregnancies tend to take longer and occur between 12-16 months as early as 3 months after the procedure.

You can either hope and pray to have a miracle/natural reversal (not effective), he can have the reversal surgery or try and extract sperm (medically!) to do an In-vitro fertilization.

If the vasectomy was properly done you will not be pregnant. We started haveing sex a week after my vasectomy (Though a longer wait is recommended) and no problems.
