It involves using the Battle Tower, located in the Battle Frontier.
You go to the Battle Tower, and deposit the Pokémon you want to clone in the PC.
Then you save the game.
Withdraw the Pokémon.
Go to the lady who enters you in a "LINK MULTI" battle. Make sure you have two enterable Pokémon.
After selecting your two Pokémon, she will say "Before entering a BATTLE ROOM, your progress must be saved. Is that okay?"
Select "Yes".
After the small pause between that message and the "Save the Game" message, switch off or Soft Reset.
WARNING: DO NOT GO ON TO SAVE THE GAME, OR IT WILL NOT WORK!
If all went well, you should be standing in front of the "LINK MULTI" battle lady.
You should have one of the cloned Pokémon in your party and one in your PC.
WARNING 2: IF DONE INCORRECTLY, IT CAN ERASE THE POKÉMON INTENDED TO BE CLONED OR EVEN YOUR SAVE DATA!
