Bottle feeds.... Maintain eye contact, smile, talk in a low calming voice.
Mealtimes... Be on their level (sit on a low seat or have them in a highchair), eye contact, smile, name the foods, encourage them to help with feeding. Allow them time to reply when talking to them as if it is a conversation.
