What is the working principle of worm gears in sand mullers?

Sand mullers break up sand after it has been used in molds to facilitate sandcasting. By effectively breaking up the sand, it can be reused. The worm on a motor or on the "driven" side of the device will engage with a worm gear. The worm rotates continuously, and the spiral cut gears "worm" their way "along" the axis of the gear. The worm gear (or spur gear) engages with the worm and rotates continuously as well. Also, the worm gear will translate the rotary motion of the worm by 90 degrees. It is fairly easy to see how the unit works if you look at some pictures or drawings. Hey, how about some animation or video? Got a couple of links.

Why was the gear invented?

Gears were invented to make working easier.

What is a Helical worm gear motor reducer?

For speed reducer gearbox just want to clarify if i can use the worm gear side of the gearbox for the installation of drive motor instead of mounting it on the enveloping worm? what is the advantage and disadvantage

Is there anyway it increase the power out put of a motor?

The power output of a motor can be changed by the use of gears. Gears can be used to increase torque by reducing the speed of the output shaft by placing a large gear on the output shaft, coupled to a smaller gear. Conversely, by using a small gear on the output shaft, coupled to a larger gear, the speed can be increased with a reduction in torque.

What is the working principle of a monoblock pump?

It consist of1.a cylinder with a piston2.piston rod, connecting rod3.crank and crank shaft4.delivery pipe5.suction pipe6.delivery valve7.suction pipe with a foot and filterDuring suction stroke the piston moves to the left, causing the inlet valve to open. Water is admitted into the cylinder through the inlet valve. During the discharge stroke the piston moves to the right closes the suction valve and opens the out let valve. Through the outlet valve the volume of liquid moved out of the cylinder.

How do you repair a 1987 corvette headlight motor The headlight opens O K but continues to run after it closes?

If your relays are working properly, you might have a stripped gear in the motor. You can replace the gear or the motor depending on your resources. If the headlight is loose, the gear more than likely has teeth missing.

What is working principle of gear box used in automobile?

Can a motor be as small as a gear?

yes a RC motor

Why wont your passenger side electric mirror work?

If your car is on and your driver side mirror motor is working then it can be anything from a break in a wire to a stripped gear in the mechanism to the mirror motor going bad.

What is a gear attached directly to the motor?

gear 3 That would be the drive gear, the gear that gear drives would be the driven gear.

Can the gear on power window motor be replaced 1986 silverado?

Yes. They do sell a window motor GEAR KIT.

How force is changed when machines increases force?

It depends on the working principle of the machine. Like for example in a gear mechanism if you replace the bigger gear with an even bigger one then a smaller amount of force would rotate the smaller gear in the same angular velocity as the initial gear did but with a greater force. But now if you increases the force in the bigger gear the smaller gear would tend to rotate more fast.
