No. Blood contains a fluid extracelluar matrix called plasma, but blood cells do not because they are individual cells. Only tissues can have a matrix.
That is called as plasma.
Plasma
red blood cell molocules
extra cellular : the elements outside the cell wall are refferred to as extra cellular
Calcium
Nutrients do not move along the circulatory system only but they are carried to each cell via extra cellular and extra vascular fluid.( Called interstitial fluid. )
Sodium
red blood cell molocules
Type of cells within extra-cellular matrix
It is the extra-Cellular matrix - opposite of the intra-membrane space, the Cytoplasm.

Blood
Feeder skin fibroblast cells used to provide the extra-cellular matrix for stem cells.
Plant has the cell wall. Animal cells have extra cellular matrix
Transport system.
The strength and rigidity of the bone is a result of the inorganic salts deposited in the matrix. Matrix is basically just large amount of non-cellular materials, which is what your bones are made of.
They are surrounded by The Cell Membrane - they are also surrounded by the 'fluid' extra-Cellular Matrix.
You have 60 % water in your body weight for weight. 20 % is in extra cellular compartment and 40 % is in intro cellular compartment. So for 70 KG man you have 14 liters of fluid in extra cellular compartment. Out of this 3 liter is present in your blood. 11 liters is present in so called interstitial compartment. 28 liters is present in intro cellular compartment. Sodium chloride is the main salt in extra cellular compartment. Potassium chloride is the main salt present in intro cellular compartment. The osmolarity being about 150 Millimoles in your body fluid.
