The fastest man made space craft today is Voyager 1. This space craft was launched in 1977 and travels at 11 miles a second, (39,000mph) which, if you think about it, is pretty pathetic.

Although, with the help of the gravitational pull from other planets, that Voyager 1 has passed, or have yet to pass, it's probably going faster.

But still, Voyager 1 is over 30 years old, and so far it's past Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn.

And as of 11/16/11, Voyager 1 is at the outer-most region of the Solar System. It's still unknown when exactly Voyager is going to enter inter-stellar space, but scientist expect it to enter inter-stellar space some time in 2012.

How fast can a man made spacecraft travel in outer space?

Man-made spacecraft can travel at speeds up to about 17,500 miles per hour (28,000 kilometers per hour) in outer space. This speed allows spacecraft to escape Earth's gravitational pull and travel to other planets, moons, and even beyond our solar system.

Which spacecraft was the first man-made object to land on the Moon?

The first man-made object to land on the Moon was the Soviet spacecraft Luna 2, on September 13, 1959. It successfully impacted the Moon's surface, marking a significant milestone in space exploration.

How fast do modern spaceship go?

Modern spacecraft can travel at varying speeds depending on their design and purpose. For example, the fastest man-made spacecraft, NASA's Parker Solar Probe, can reach speeds of up to 430,000 miles per hour (700,000 kilometers per hour). However, typical spacecraft used for missions to the International Space Station travel at speeds around 17,500 miles per hour (28,000 kilometers per hour).

What is the most famous space probe?

There are a number of famous space probes. The Sputnik was the first satellite launched into orbit by the Russians on October 4, 1957.The Pioneer 10 and Pioneer 11 were the first deep space probes to make closeup observations of Jupiter.Voyager 1 & Voyager 2 were launched to make flyby observations of all the planets in the solar system, and Voyager 1 is now the most distant man-made object in space. The Twin Helios Spacecraft were launched into an orbit around the sun and have the distinction of being the fastest spacecraft with a speed of about 157,000 mph (252,792 km/h).The speed of light is about 299,792,458 m/s, or about 1,079,252,848 kph. So, the fastest spacecraft launched by man is only traveling at approximately 1/4,000 the speed of light.

Who was the first man in space and in what year did he go into space?

Yuri Gagarin was the first man in space. He made his historic flight on April 12, 1961 aboard the Vostok 1 spacecraft.

What is the fastest thing man has ever invented and how fast can it go?

Radio waves and lasers travel at the speed of light, but the fastest "things" ever built are obviously spacecraft. They have extremely long distances to travel. The fastest velocity ever achieved by a powered spacecraft is being achieved by the New Horizons spacecraft heading for a rendezvous with Pluto in July 2015. It set the powered record of 36,373 mph after its launch from Earth in 2006. It attained a maximum speed of about 52,000 mph using a flyby of the planet Jupiter in February 2007.

Did any man made spacecraft visited earth?

It's not clear what you mean by "visited", here. All man-made spacecraft ORIGINATED from Earth. Some of them later RETURNED to Earth as well, and quite a few of them were designed to STUDY Earth (for example, weather satellites).
